The Sisters Of Mercy Discography
An Introduction
an epic of many parts, written by corey
with help from an *enormous* number of people. and apologies to
anyone i swiped stuff from without saying thanks.
the sisters of mercy discography is an ego project i've worked on
for several years. it's goal is the be the single greatest referance
work on the sisters of mercy's musical output, official and bootleg.
this goal has fallen by the wayside for various reasons over the last year,
but i am now seizing control once more. if you have anything to add. please
mail scifi@cc.wwu.edu with attn: cwn/som in the subject line.
the discography is broken into parts for convenience's sake thusly:
I. official releases in the UK
albums, singles, compliations, interview and promo only
II. official releases from around the rest of the world
III. official video releases
IV. live bootlegs
V. studio bootlegs and bootleg's with mixed contents.
VI. bootleg video
VII. bands related to the sisters via the Merciful Release label.
VIII.
and may be ftp'ed from ftp.maths.tcd.ie in directory /pub/music/discographies

common to first pressings also use the SOM logo font [caslon
antique] on the spine and gloss black inner sleeves. WYDSM only
has German pressings though.
First pressing 7"s are commonly labeled 'made in france' and/or
with semi-circular cutout at the top of the sleeve to facilitate
grasping the record and omit the 'unauthorised...' warning.
May also have 'made in england' handstamped on the sleeve.
Standard Sisters sleeve style is a black border with rectangular
artwork and 'the Sisters of Mercy' underneath.
Band personnel goes by the following key:
SIS 1= Craig Adams-bass SIS 2= Craig Adams-bass

SIDE TWO: Good Things/Phantom/Burn/Kiss the Carpet/Valentine 2
a. LP Portasound 1990
NOTES: Supposedly a promo item. Driver contains some music and

down" probably as _very_ early version of the Reptile House
song. It was used as the backwards part of the RH Burn. Lights
]s the Floorshow ep version. The two Valentines have no real
difference. Phantom is the same version that is on Studiouttakes
