I have just logged to our electronic library an updated version of
IGPENPAL TYIG, the fruit of Sea/n Kelley's labours! Go raibh mi/le
maith agat, a Shea/in. This file is intended for beginners who are
eager to practise their small store of Irish Gaelic with others in
the same position or slightly ahead of them, or with some of G-L's
fluent speakers. The system is very simple -- all a learner has to
do is download this file and pick a likely penpal for him/herself.
To access this directory, just send the following command,
as text of a MAIL or TELL message, to LISTSERV@IRLEARN.UCD.IE
GET IGPENPAL TYIG
People wishing to learn Scottish Gaelic can avail of another file,
done to the same pattern and kept up to date by Carol Zall (taing
dhuit, a Charol!) The command for retrieving the SG directory is:
GET SGPENPAL TYSG
A/dh mo/r oraibh,
Marion Gunn
